I wanted to second this, I heard this recently from a promo cdr (i don¹t think its out yet, does anyone know?) and it has really kept my attention. Those of you that have heard safety scissors' appearances on other compilations, like that jake mandell label one, and the intermission cd on plug research, will totally know what to expect, but for others, its kind of like new order meets early-mid 90s underworld meets berlin and chain reaction and porter ricks etc. the bubbly aquatic techno anthems with these gentle vocal elements layered on top, and even some proper 'songs' almost. really catchy, memorable stuff. A highlight for this year so far. And I don¹t say that lightly, like listmembers with asinine comments like "ae's confield is pushing boundaries we can only hope to grasp in 2004" On this note of good/bad, I also wanted to 'warn' people about the new freescha album; I'm one of those people who loves a lot of their prior output, but this album left me pretty cold; theres not a lot of stuff on there that¹s really memorable and calls me back for a second or third listen. And a second or third listen is what I almost expect from these freescha guys after their blissful first 12inch and their great cdep.
